ZALIV starts constructing new ships
According to the previously scheduled terms production works regarding the implementation of contracts signed by ZALIV shipyard in December of the last year have begun. On the 31st of January hull shop of ZALIV shipyard started metal cutting for the first hull of hull series for Norwegian company ULSTEIN. The work will be arranged in two shifts and in the nearest month it will be treated around 1700 tons of metal. According to Commercial Director’s words of ZALIV, Vyacheslav Kharchenko, the delivery of shipbuilding steel and basic profiles in due time permitted to start executing these works according to the schedule. The organization of deliveries including metal- roll certification in the International Classification Societies was assumed by the subsidiary Co Ltd “Zaliv- Metal”. “Permanent partner of ZALIV – Alchevsk metallurgical enterprise – acted as the manufacturer of sheet products”, tells V. Kharchenko, “3000 tons required for construction of two ships were delivered to the shipyard at the earliest possible date. Thus Alchevsk metallurgical enterprise proved once again its reliability as a respectable partner of domestic shipbuilders by the efficient performance of order and delivery of high quality steel.”
