In 1994 a paint shop equipped with technological equipment of KIESS company (Germany) was put into operation to provide for high quality of coating works.

The paint shop consists of a blasting and coating compartments, complying with modern fire and environment safety requirements

Sections and blocks can be coated with temperature and humidity strictly controlled independent of ambient weather conditions.

Production capacity is 410 000 m2 per year.

The paint shop enabled to increase the scope of coating works performed before assembly in the dock from 25 to 75 %.

The shipyard has equipment for coating inner surfaces of pipelines, has mastered technologies approved by paint manufacturers for coating of cargo tanks of product and chemical carriers.

The modern paint shop and shot-blasting and priming line are a specific feature of Zaliv shipyard among other Ukrainian shipyards, and provide for a high international quality of coatings.
